My career
Hello, bonjour, hola! My name is Marie Dutrieux, I'm Belgian and I've loved languages ever since I began to learn English, and then Spanish, when I was a teenager. After I received my high school diploma, I spent nine wonderful months in an Irish host family, in Louisburgh, Co. Mayo. Following this experience, I started to study translation at the University of Mons, Belgium. I was familiarised with general, scientific, and technical translation, as well as subtitling and text revision. Moreover, I had the chance to participate in the Erasmus program and study for five months at the University of Vigo (Spain). I did an internship as a multimedia translator for the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF). Finally, I got my Master's in multidisciplinary translation in 2024. In 2025, I decided to try the freelance adventure, under the name of Dx Traduction.
